(Mark 5: 25 – 34)

Introduction: The lyrics of a song I love say in part "Are you standing in need of a miracle today? Even doctors don't what to do about your case. Our God is able to make a way where there's no way. God is still doing great things". The lyrics of this song speak to the situation of the woman with the issue of blood we read about in the Bible. The scripture says in Mark 5:25 "And a certain woman, which had an issue of blood twelve years, And had suffered many things of many physicians, and had spent all that she had, and was nothing bettered, but rather grew worse". For twelve years this woman went from one physician to another. Her hopes of getting well kept rising and falling; She suffered many disappointments in hands of doctors. To make her situation worse, she spent all her income on her medical bills and there was no improvement. The woman because of her condition probably also suffered shame and rejection from her family and friends. There might be someone her feeling the same way. Yours may not be a medical condition, but a financial embarrassment, or barrenness in one area of life or another. All hope is not lost for you because the God that visited the woman with the issue of blood will surely visit you. One day the woman heard about Jesus and she came in spite the crowd. She refused to be discouraged but pressed her through the crowd in order to touch Jesus. The Bible says "When she had heard of Jesus, came in the press behind, and touched his garment. For she said, If I may touch but his clothes, I shall be whole". The woman came to Jesus by faith to receive her miracle and she did. You too should come to Jesus by faith and He will surely heal you. God is not a respecter of persons. The Bible says "And straightway the fountain of her blood was dried up; and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague". Jesus is still doing great things. As you come into His presence, believe that God is able to make you whole and He surely will. The faith of that woman made her whole. Your faith will make you whole in God's presence. The Bible says "And Jesus, immediately knowing in himself that virtue had gone out of him, turned him about in the press, and said, Who touched my clothes? And his disciples said unto him, Thou seest the multitude thronging thee, and sayest thou, Who touched me? And he looked round about to see her that had done this thing. But the woman fearing and trembling, knowing what was done in her, came and fell down before him, and told him all the truth. And he said unto her, Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole; go in peace, and be whole of thy plague."
