(Acts. 9: 1 – 18)
Or maybe you are the one releasing threatening to the Word of God through your life style (Matt. 12:30), the Light of God is on His way with a sudden visitation.
What then happens when the Light from heaven shines?
1. Divine encounter:
You must experience a fall to the earth, you must die to self. (Jn.
12:24). This fall is a place of breaking, remolding, a place of
correction, where the spirit of pride dies and the Spirit of humility
germinates. It is the place where darkness begins to give way for the
manifestation of the true Light. It is a place where chains are broken,
it is a place of total surrender to the power of the Holy Spirit. You
might be coming to church every Sunday, hearing the word of God but
still no encounter. For there to be a name change, a change in that
situation there must be an encounter with the Light (God).
2. You will hear a voice, recognize it and respond to it :
1 Sam.3:5-11 Samuel heard the voice of God , but until he was able to
identify it as that of God and not that of Eli, God said nothing to him.
The moment he was able to identify the voice as that of God, God
revealed Himself to him. Even demons in Acts 19: 14-end knew the voice
of Paul and Jesus and not that of the sons of Sceva. Demons need to hear
that voice of Jesus in you to bow.
3. Total surrender and obedience: Lord what will thou
have me to do (vs.6). In 1 Kg. 18:38-39 when the light from heaven
(fire) fell the people had no choice but to bow and surrender to the God
of Elijah.
4. Men and situations around you will hear the voice of God (vs. 7).
5. Lose sight of man (vs. 8): you become God conscious,
your life style and circumstances change and begin to line up with
God’s life style, you begin to desire the things of God (vs.9, 11); your
spiritual eyes open (visions from God). 6. You become a chosen vessel (vs. 15):
Your trials become your testimonies that will draw many to Christ.
Circumstances begin to line up with the will of God for you and this
begins to speak out. The man who was born blind, when the Light from
heaven came in contact with his situation, that blindness became his
testimony (Jn. 9:1-end). The woman at the well, when the Light from
heaven fell on her, situations around her changed.
7. You receive new spiritual sight from that moment forward:
God begins to deal with you at a different level, reveals deep and
secrete things, those things that no mind has ever been able to conceive
by the hearts of men. He did it for Elisha and will surely do same for
you.
