(Proverbs 31: 10 – 31)
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man”. It is clear from this scripture that God’s primary assignment for the woman is to be a help mate. The word of God also says in Proverbs 14:1 that “Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucketh it down with her hands”. From this scripture we understand that it is the will of God for every woman to be a Home Builder.
1. The Woman as a Home Builder: A
woman who glorifies God best is the one who serves her family. By
serving her husband and children, the woman brings the presence of God
into her home. A home is different from a house because a home is where
love of God is expressed. In order to become a home builder, a woman
goes through many stages in life from childhood to adulthood. A woman
needs to be beside her husband because besides a successful man there is
a woman. As a woman, you should pray for your husband, cook for them,
support them in every way possible.
2. The Cycle of Growth: The Girl Child:
A woman goes through many cycles in life. She is born into the world as
a girl child. Right from the time she is a girl, she needs to be
trained on how to be a help mate. She should learn how to serve at home,
and grow up to be a responsible woman and a home builder.
The Wife: From being a girl, the next phase in the cycle of life is that of a wife. A woman graduates from being a girl, to becoming a wife and she starts childbearing. As a wife, a woman must meet the needs of her husband, regardless of whether they are spiritual or physical. She must be able to cook, satisfies her husband’s sexual needs and prays for him continuously. Our women are wives and not knives. A wife builds but a knife cuts.
The Mother: A woman graduates from being a wife to becoming a mother. As a mother, she has the joint role of training the children along with her husband. Children must be raised and trained in the way of The Lord by a Godly woman. In Psalm 127:3 – 5, the Bible says “Lo, Children are an heritage of The Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man, so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.” Our children are like arrows. Our women are mothers, not murderers. A mother nurtures and protects but a murderer kills and destroys. To build a good home, you must build a good child.
The Minister: From being a mother, the woman grows into being a minister and in this role, she prays for her family and teach the children God’s word.
The Pillar: From minister, the woman becomes a pillar. A pillar is builds but a caterpillar destroys. If the home is good, the society will be good. The woman must be an angel and not a demon.
