Launch Out Into The Deep

Introduction:To launch out is to send forth or release something. Deep means reaching or advancing far down, for example, a deep dive. In Heb. 11:1 the Bible says “Faith is the substance of things hoped for and the evidence of things not seen”. Heb. 10:38 also says “The just shall live by faith”. This message is based on a story in Luke 5: 1 – 11. Part of the story reads thus in NLT: “[1]One day as Jesus was preaching on the shore of the Sea of Galilee, great crowds pressed in on him to listen to the word of God.

[2] He noticed two empty boats at the water’s edge, for the fishermen had left them and were washing their nets. [3] Stepping into one of the boats, Jesus asked Simon, its owner, to push it out into the water.

Singing A New Song

Introduction: We serve a God that never Fails. His blessings are new every morning and He also expects us to bring our praise to Him everyday. He is the God of yesterday, today, and forever. He is not a respecter of persons. He can never change. Psalm 34:1-2 says “I will bless The Lord at all times and His praise shall continually be in my mouth, my soul shall make her boast in The Lord”. God wants us to change from singing songs of defeat, grumbling and lamentation into singing songs of joy, songs of praise, songs of victory, songs of deliverance and songs of adoration.
