Sowing The Seeds Of Greatness

Introduction: This message is a continuation of the series “Destined for Greatness” and I want to use this occasion of the ninth anniversary celebration of JHES to emphasize again that as God’s children, we are destined for greatness. Under this topic, we have discussed the dimensions of greatness, and the price of greatness. We have talked about the price Jesus paid and the price we must pay. We have talked about the price of holiness and the price of separation, now I want us to talk about another price we must pay which is: Sowing the seeds of greatness.

The Empty Tomb

Introduction: Easter Sunday commemorates the resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ from the dead. It is the climax of the events of the final days of Jesus’ coming to the world. Three days earlier on Good Friday, He was betrayed, arrested, tortured and crucified on the cross of Calvary. On Easter morning, He rose from the dead as He has promised. Of what importance is the empty tomb. A tomb is where we bury the dead. Our Lord Jesus was buried in the tomb but thank God today His tomb is empty. The resurrection of Jesus from the dead and the empty tomb means different things to different people.

The Price We Must Pay: (2) The Price Of Separation

Introduction: Previously we have said that although God has destined us for greatness, it comes at a cost. Jesus already paid the price to make us great, but we also must pay some of the price in order to attain the greatness that our God has destined for us.
